REASONING
yumeda is a young and international team of creative and motivated minds, who together want to make a real impact with their work. At the same time, due to our age, we will be one of the first generations to feel the worst effects of climate change on our own bodies. Therefore, we embarked on a journey of discovery to make our undertaking impactful and mindful. It was important for all team members to create meaning and generate impact during our daily work. For us, the topic of impact is not just a window dressing strategy, but represents the actual core of our company.
IMPACT DEFINITION
Our corporate strategy, as well as our daily actions, are guided by the official United Nations definition of Impact.
“Impact implies changes in people’s lives. This might include changes in knowledge, skill, behavior, health or living conditions for children, adults, families or communities. Such changes are positive or negative long term effects on identifiable population groups produced by a development intervention, directly or indirectly, intended or unintended. These effects can be economic, socio-cultural, institutional, environmental, technological or of other types. Positive impacts should have some relationship to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to support the achievement of the SDGs, to trigger social and corporate rethinking and to help shape a livable and sustainable future in the long term. To this end, we take on a role model function for companies and show that it is possible to be impactful and successful as a service provider at the same time. We also support impactful companies and offer them a digital stage to put them in the perfect light.

The SDGs provide a practical framework for the theoretical construct of impact. They support our corporate orientation, as well as the selection of suitable industries and customers.

ENVIRONMENTAL
SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES
The environmental sustainable sector is one of the rather classical impact clients we are working with. Hereby, yumeda is strongly focusing on the biggest environmental issues including climate change and global warming, water pollution and acidification as well as loss of biodiversity.
ART AND CULTURE
Healthcare is still strongly unequal, due to lack of access, lack of finance and resources. The industry of healthcare and life science can majorly contribute to finding solutions to important social issues concerning equality, quality of life and general health.
MANUFACTURING
These companies make an impact on society due to their usual close connection to traditions and culture but also due to the strong quality that is embedded in the core. The effect of long lasting products made out of qualitative materials, most likely from the region and made under Human labour rights.
HEALTHCARE AND LIFE SCIENCE

EDUCATION
Education builts the base for the creation of any democratic society. It leads to economic prosperity in the global marketplace, gives people the knowledge they need to create a sustainable and successful future, helps promote tolerance in a society and helps reduce common conflicts between diverse populations.
SOCIAL, WELFARE AND ACTIVISM
This industry supports living beings and parts of society that have no voice, are not heard and seen clearly enough or cannot help themselves with their own means. Thus, attention is drawn to important and major problems that have not been seen clearly enough by a large part of society.
